About me

Unveiling the profound lessons I have learned as a Dad.

I am a father of two beautiful daughters and a son. I often find myself reflecting on the lessons that this parenthood has taught me. Recently I came across a remarkable book titled, “What Are Emotions For?” by Antoine de Saint- Exupéry. This book’s captivating stories and profound insights left me with invaluable lessons that I wish to share with my children one day, especially with my eldest daughter, Ela, who has overcome numerous challenges. In this blog, I plan to share my heartfelt message with children worldwide, where I will attempt to encapsulate the wisdom I have gained reading books and from the “University of Life.”

To my dearest daughters, you have faced adversities that I could not even imagine, and you managed to stand strong in the end. Not only did you come out as a winner, but you demonstrated qualities that I admire most about you, strength and resilience. This fills my heart with awe and admiration. The story of the Chauncey family, who sacrificed their lives to save their child, resonates deeply with me. The book serves as a reminder of parents’ boundless love and devotion for their children. Your journey has not been easy, but always remember that my love for you knows no bounds. Your triumphs and struggles have shaped you into the incredible person you are today, and I am honored to be your father.

As I read about the role of emotions in our lives, I am reminded of the countless moments when my heart guided me through difficult decisions. The decisions that led you to abandon your friends when we shifted homes, and you may feel different even now. My precious daughters, there will be times when you may face crossroads and uncertainties. Trust in your emotions, for they are your compass. I believe that your intuition, fueled by love and empathy, will help you navigate the challenges that lie ahead. Embrace your emotions and allow them to guide you toward a path that aligns with your deepest values and desires.

To this end, my beloved daughters, I can tell you that “Life can be complex,” as the clash between our evolutionary past and modern society’s demands often creates challenges we must navigate and always try to win. Your experiences and struggles have molded you, just as our evolutionary heritage has shaped the core of who we are. Embrace your unique story and recognize that your emotions, rooted in the wisdom of countless generations, offer insights that can guide you through the world’s complexities. Trust in the strength within you, for you can overcome any obstacle.

In this fast-paced world, my dear daughters, it is essential to balance reason and emotions. Embrace the power of your emotions, but remember to temper them with rationality. This enabled me to overcome life in campus and the life before I met your mother. Allow your heart to guide you and engage your mind to make sound decisions. Integrating emotions with reason will enable you to build meaningful relationships, make thoughtful choices, and lead a more fulfilling life. Your emotional intelligence will be a valuable asset in navigating the intricacies of human interactions.

Each of us embarks on a unique journey of self-discovery, my precious daughters. As you grow, cultivate emotional awareness and self-reflection. Understand the profound impact emotions have on your well-being and the well-being of others. Nurture your emotional health, for it will empower you to embrace your vulnerabilities, develop empathy, and face challenges with resilience. Remember, acknowledging and honoring your emotions is not a sign of weakness but a testament to your strength.

My dear daughters, as I reflect on the lessons from “What Are Emotions For?” and the experiences that have shaped my understanding, I want you to know that my love for you is immeasurable. Your journey through life may have challenges but never doubt the power of love and sacrifice. Trust your emotions, embrace your unique story, and always remember that I am here to support you every step of the way.
